Health / Dental / Vision Insurance
Justice Federal offers a national network PPO health, dental, and vision insurance plan to employees. Employees are eligible on the first day of the month following their date of hire.

Flexible Spending Accounts
We offer both Health and Dependent Care accounts. By enrolling in one or both of these accounts, employees can pay for eligible, uninsured health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Life Insurance
Coverage is provided equaling twice an employee’s annual salary.

401K Plan
Our 401K plan was established to provide retirement benefits for employees. Justice Federal believes in making an investment in our employees. To prove it, we adopted a Safe Harbor 401K Plan with an established matching program. Education

Sr. Vice President of Operations

The Sr. Vice President of Operations is an integral part of the leadership team and plays a pivotal role in achieving the credit union’s long-term objective of serving members throughout the justice and law enforcement community. Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of business units including Member Services, Call Center and Branch Operations.

The successful incumbent will have an eye toward analyzing and improving efficiency and ensuring consistent and excellent member service throughout the enterprise. A demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage critical projects is required. The SVP will be high energy, have a collaborative leadership style and have an optimistic view of the organization and what it is able to accomplish.

A bachelor’s degree in a closely related field is required and a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience within a financial institution with at least 5 years in operations leadership is required.

Sr. Vice President of Information Technology

The Sr. Vice President of Information Technology is an integral part of the leadership team and is responsible for the overall development and execution of the credit union’s technology strategy and solutions. Reporting to the CEO, the SVP will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the Information Technology and e-Services departments including enterprise systems and security, network communications (data, voice, Internet and video), network application servers, desktop management and support, data center operations, and the like. The SVP will collaborate with the Information Security Officer to effectively oversee, plan and direct enterprise information and cyber security operations and operational controls.

A bachelor’s degree in a closely related field is required and a master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of IT industry experience with 3 – 5 years of senior leadership experience is required with at least two of those years being in a financial institution highly preferred. Relevant security certifications (GIAC, GSEC, CISM, Cisco, etc.) are highly preferred.

Risk Analyst

Justice Federal is looking for a Risk Analyst to assist with insuring proper physical security to protect credit union personnel and assets. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of recent and relevant experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. We are also looking for someone that has strong interpersonal and analytical skills, working knowledge of physical security aspects, BSA/AML and OFAC requirements, credit union products, services, policies and procedures, strong PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) who can also work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and solve problems based on standard operating procedures and precedents.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are providing assistance in maintaining the credit union’s security program, investigating account fraud and coordinating appropriate follow up with law enforcement/courts, providing assistance in maintaining the credit union’s business continuity plan (BCP) and scenario testing, provide back up support for physical security, coordinate credit union’s timely responses to subpoenas and other government requests for information, prepare timely completion of BSA reports (CTRs & SARs), assist with the creation, review and revision of security and BCP related policies and procedures, reviews and investigates system generated security reports (IDV, BSA/AML & A2A), coordinates Vendor Management program, works with vendor and staff regarding periodic due diligence, attends job related meetings and conferences, prepares and provides staff training related to security and business continuity procedures, attends required compliance and regulatory training and is responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).


Training Manager

The Training Manager initiates, plans, coordinates, and directs training and staff development programs for the credit union. Provides learning opportunities designed to increase staff capacity and commitment to achieving high performance standards. Will apply a complement of training, organizational development programs based on careful needs assessments, opportunity identification, best practices, and evaluation of program cost-effectiveness.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Recommends training and development programs as deemed appropriate for meeting the needs of management and staff, as well as, the objectives set forth for the credit union.
  • • Designs curriculum and coordinates training activities for all subject areas with particular attention to best practices applicable to the financial services industry.
  • • Regularly conducts organizational and departmental needs analysis and assessment, identifying areas requiring developmental training.
  • • Regularly provides training on management development and leadership skills.
  • • Personally and/or collaboratively provides training, self-directed, and team learning experiences for credit union staff and teams at all levels.
  • • Trains assigned instructors/management personnel in effective techniques for training and ensures that trainees learn to adapt to changes when enhancements to various products, services, policies and procedures are presented.
  • • Seeks and negotiates best pricing for advertising and staffing resources
  • • Administer employee benefits to include medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts and Wellness Program. Conducts NHO (Benefits) as needed.
  • • Develops various class scenarios, exercises, assignments, tests and measurement tools to verify effectiveness, trainee comprehension and interest.
  • • Design and/or select learning content, methods, resources and materials, working within budget approvals.
  • • Manages the training program:
  • - Creates and develops a mandatory front-line training plan and curriculum to ensure all staff are up to-date on product and service offerings
    - Regularly updates new hire training program
    - Develops and maintains an ongoing professional development program (career pathing) to assist staff in achieving their individual development goals.
  • • Assist Managers and peer trainers in providing the most cost-effective on-the-job training.
  • • Assist Managers and collaborates with other HR team members on selected HR initiatives as assigned.
  • • Actively participates in assigned committees to determine knowledge gaps and needs for training.
  • • Responsible for attending required compliance and regulatory training
  • • Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
  • • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, analytical, presentation, group facilitation, and problem solving skills.

  • • Must hold a valid Driver’s License, maintain a safe driving record, and be able to drive to multiple locations, transporting training supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR development, organizational development or comparable academic preparation and/or training experience.
  • • Minimum of five years directly related experience including use of job knowledge and skills training, human resource development, team and organization development.
  • • Prior Credit Union or Financial Institution experience highly desired.
  • • Member service experience highly desired. Previous training experience desired. Symitar knowledge desired.


Programmer Analyst

Justice Federal is looking for a Programmer Analyst to assist with coding, testing, debugging. Candidate should be able to implement and upgrade software applications in accordance with set policies and procedures. Candidate will oversee use of Credit Union database system to identify development opportunities. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of similar or related experience to include programming and database management or BS or BA degree. Candidate should also possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills, comprehensive knowledge in structured programming methodology, Access, SQL, HTML, SharePoint, Symitar (Episys) Repgen/PowerOn or other Credit Union Core programming experience.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are developing, implementing, maintaining application software according to established standards and specifications using approved programming languages & databases. The candidate will implement changes to applications and software parameters to maintain current functionality, correct problems, and modify or enhance application functions. Ensure documentation of new programs and changes to existing programs according to established procedures. Participate in the design and selection of application software.


Programming Supervisor

Justice Federal is looking for a Programming Supervisor to assist with the oversight of the organization’s programming services for the core system as well as select business processing platforms. The ideal candidate will have BS Degree in Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent work experience, eight to ten years programming experience including database management. Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in financial institutions dealing with member service and back office system functions. One year previous supervisory experience preferred, Comprehensive knowledge in structured programming methodology, knowledge of Access, SQL, HTML, Java and SharePoint. Candidates should be able to read and interpret complex technical publications and documentation. Candidates should possess the ability to learn new programming languages, environments, technologies, Symitar (Episys) Repgen/PowerOn or other Credit Union Core programming experience and proficiency in one or more of the following: JAVA, VB.Net, C#, C/C++, or VBA.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are to assist in managing employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting with interviewing and training new employees, career development and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance in a timely manner, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Candidate partners with manager to develop policies and procedures for change management, new processes, core system and select business processing platforms in order to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations. Develop, implement and maintain application software according to the established standards and specifications using approved programming languages, databases and coding practices. Develop software solutions for core banking system; online and mobile banking platforms, Establishes responsive support channels and resources to address end-user requests and concerns. Candidate participate in the design and selection of application software.


Internal Auditor

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks an Internal Auditor to plan and complete audits of all areas of the credit union in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. This is a one-person internal audit operation. The selected individual will act as a compliance officer assuring observance with internal policies and external laws and regulations; ensure accurate and reliable information is produced by the credit union, and promote operational efficiencies with the goal of safeguarding the assets of the credit union.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Develop and execute an annual audit plan and employ a risk-based approach auditing.
  • • Analyze audit risks and assimilate audit areas by risk factor.
  • • Conduct periodic audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • • Complete individual internal control evaluations for areas audited. Analyze risk exposure of weaknesses identified.
  • • Perform/document related audit tests including sample selection tying to the financial statements.
  • • Document and summarize the results of the audit work performed.
  • • Summarize audit exceptions and determine corrective action required to prevent such exceptions in the future.
  • • Prepare recommendations to resolve the control weaknesses identified.
  • • Report the results of the audit to management and Supervisory Committee.
  • • Review that credit union policies and procedures are being followed.
  • • Conduct branch audits.
  • • Manage the performance of investigative matters concerning employees and/or members.
  • • Assess and determine the level of Audit involvement for each investigative matter and communicate this level of involvement with Credit Union management and Supervisory Committee.
  • • Obtain/prepare/maintain supporting documentation as requested and retain all work-papers.
  • • Provide assistance for the external CPA firm’s review.
  • • Provide assistance to NCUA with the annual examination and to any third party regarding outsourced reviews.
  • • Keep abreast of regulatory/industry changes.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • • A minimum of 3 years Internal Audit experience within a bank or credit union.
  • • Financial and operational internal audit experience is preferred.
  • • Demonstrated experience operating a one-person audit unit.
  • • Must be experienced with financial statements and operational audits.


Training Specialist

Justice Federal is looking for a Training Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of recent and relevant experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. We are also looking for someone that has strong interpersonal and presentation skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to instruct adult learners. Knowledge of financial industry products and services are preferred. Previous training experience and Symitar knowledge are desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Providing superior member service and maintaining confidentiality are required.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are conducting New Hire Orientation, facilitating classroom and virtual training programs, reviewing and updating training materials to ensure all information is current and consistent with credit union policies and procedures, collecting feedback on training programs, ensuring a high level of knowledge learned is used on the job, providing developmental or remedial training where needed, scheduling and monitoring training courses for employees, maintaining training records and providing reports as requested, making recommendations on new and improved training programs and serving as the Learning Management System (LMS).


Facilities Coordinator

Justice Federal is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to assist with the efficient operation of Credit Union facilities. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of similar or related experience and a High School education or equivalent required. The candidate should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to calculate mathematical data such as proportions and percentages, the ability to multi task, work effectively with all levels of staff with tact and diplomacy, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The duties and responsibilities of this position are monitoring the activities of contractors engaged in the construction, renovation, maintenance and repair of organizational facilities, building systems and grounds maintenance. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies. Maintaining the fixed assets tracking programing with periodic verification, facilitating office moves, employee transfers and setting up workstations for new employees. Coordinates physical security for credit union staff and assets. Coordinates mail and package delivery, to staff and between Credit Union locations.
